Get Ink Out of a Dryer
Dish Soap Method:
Don’t underestimate the effectiveness of dish soap in removing ink stains from a dryer.
Since it’s readily available in most households, it’s a convenient option. To remove dry ink stains, mix warm water with dish soap.
Use a clean towel to wipe the drum and paddles with this solution. It may take a few minutes as the cleansing agents in the dish soap gradually break down the stains.
Keep scrubbing, and you’ll notice the ink stains fading. Finally, wipe away any remaining suds with a clean, damp towel.
Vinegar and Hot Water Method:
For fresh ink stains that are still wet, prepare a mixture of equal parts hot water and White Vinegar.
Use a slightly damp towel or sponge to wipe the stained surface. Expect to scrub for a few minutes.
The ink stains should gradually fade away. Once the stain is gone, wipe the dryer with a clean, damp cloth to eliminate the vinegar odor.
Melamine Sponge Method:
If other methods fail, you can try using a melamine sponge like a Magic Eraser.
However, remember to wear gloves as it is abrasive. Dampen the Magic Eraser with warm water, squeezing out any excess water.
Gently scrub the stain to remove it. Finally, vacuum or wipe up any residue left behind from the sponge.
Cleaning the Dryer Exterior:
After successfully removing stains from the dryer drum, it’s essential to check the appliance’s exterior.
Use a soapy sponge or Magic Eraser to scrub away any lingering ink. Then, wipe off any residue with a clean, damp towel.
